Yes i do , this mainly because i can’t  speak well. Just now there is a town hall at my office and we meet up with our International President , the person that in charge of our company international biz, i can’t deny that he is really a good speaker, don’t be surprise that a lot of big shot can’t really speak well but those good speaker in the company normally will become big shot.

Starting with some joke as ice breaker , then announce some of the news and explain some of the detail in a humor way and relax, i would say it’s quite enjoy for listen to a good speaker. I hope one day i can have the same kind of confident standing in front and speak ..

I bought the macheist bundle during Jan, but until March then i getting my iMac with leopard and until May i start install some of the macheist application, when i start the install process , i find out that i haven’t get the vector designer serial number, so i just send the support a email to checking on this and i getting the reply today.

yeah, i getting a reply after nearly 2 month, i already found the answer in the forum ,but don’t you think the support really need to be improve ? I have similar case on my flickr account some time ago, but it took flickr reply me after 8 day, i won’t say the time it took it’s reasonable , but 1 month+ is really unacceptable.

Yeah someone told me on flickr forum, a $25 service , what you expect ? maybe i come from service industry before but i would tell you , today even is just a $2 service , you should give a reasonable support else you might losing more customer on this.

The latest Mac OSX leopard come with a cool feature , a backup feature - Time Machine , this is the main reason i getting Western Digital External Harddisk - My Book Essential Edition during pc show.

The starting not really that good, i wish to use firewire to connect my Book and my Mac , but there is no respond after i conect both, so i change it to USB but there are no respond too. After doing some google, i found that i need to install driver in order for my mac to recognise my Book.

WD Drive Manager ( MAC ) - after install this and restart , i have the small WD icon on my menu bar, telling me how many percent more of space i leave. So split the protable harddisk into 3 partition , using 1 for Time Machine , 1 leave it for sharing file with windows system and last one should be using for OS virtualization.

Time Machine configuration is easy, too bad is not detail enough, the only thing that you can configure is which folder to exclude from backup. Thats why i think i will cross using iBackup which i mention in previous post , hmmmm do i need to start the topic about whats the advantage of backup ?

I was configure my backup process for my imac during weekend, this is one of the free backup application that i found - iBackup , an i series applcation which is quite obious a mac application.

as a mac switcher , we might not know which are the file to backup for mac, iBackup provide a full menu for you to select what you want to backup, incluing system setting and applicayion setting, if the default selection didn’t cover all your need, you can just simply add on your own define folder.

the setup process is simple and direct, you are allow to create different profile, each profile can process some of the backup process, so that you can define different time, backup destination for different profile.

iBackup allow you to configure the method of rsync, you can add in different parameter to configure different scenario, zip method is support too.

simple yet allow different configuration and best this is a free application for personal use, if you don’t have backup habit, i think is better start now.

Yup, remove all my twitter that posted on this blog, this is getting annoying, especially when you didn’t blog about anything, you will only a blog full with twitter post and i feel like since there are something new on my blog, i can just skip another round of posting, which make me blog lesser now day.

So back to normal blogging mode.

• knownhost - my vps provider , hosting most of my site , cost USD $31.50
• mediatemple - ultra resource hosting account, seem lots of down time , using for backup of my vps, cost USD $17
• total USD $48.50 per month

yeah, this is how much i spend on hosting each month, which is about $66 SGD, it’s consider quite a lot if i put in measurement the storage n bandwidth i been using, this is really under utilize , so it’s time to cut down and consolidate again.

Closing down my mediatemple account, the whole Grid service is really sounds awesome, if the downtime not that often, anyway currently i m consider webfaction, it seem good to me, it have rails, django and subversion, the price is low ,getting one for multi purpose include backup should be ok.

I been thinking to get either linode or slicehost as a vps for development, or if is better i can use it to replace my knownhost vps, i m still struggle on this, manage or not manage ? this is always my pain.

Hmmmmmm looking at some sg web hosting too, one of the project i would like to launch is target local, i might need a local hosting for that .. argh, how to balance this !

I saw this serivce quite sometime, it is something like a web version of business card, but i think it’s more about your web profile, thats why i call it a web2.0 profile card.

So what does retaggr do is provide some field for you to fill in , filling some of the web 2.0 service that you using plus some additional info, it will generate a profile card for you.

nice idea, so in future you can just exchange/grab the profile card from people that you just know or you want to know, it even have plugin for some blogging service, so that embeded the service into your blog, my blog current is retaggr  support, mouse over the name on the comment and you will be able to see this profile card, cool!

i have email a suggestion for status message that display on the profile card, currently only support twitter only, i suggest should be add in like plurk, jaiku or even facebook status. lets see will they respone or not.

2 & 1/2 hour more, you will be able to download Firefox 3 , the latest version of firefox and it going to be the most download software in the next 24 hours, i think this shouldn’t be the problem.

Currently i m using firefox 3 RC 3 @ home ( yeah Mac version ) and firefox 3 in the office, for my personal experience , i would say this latest release is a lot better then firefox 2, especially on memory management, interface and some other new feature, maybe exclude the awesome bar ?

One of my colleague have a funny habit , she will try to minimize the firefox a few time quickly to reduce the memory usage of firefox2( avoid slow loading) , i think after firefox 3 release , i should be no chance to see her do that

please download firefox 3 after 1am tonight ( singapore time ) , auto update from browser not counted, i will download from the site to show my support, gg firefox !

2 new service added on my almost-daily-usage list last week.  Looplater , which i mention in my recent post - Save now read later and Plurk - the one that might be replace twitter.

Looplater become something hot on my daily usage of web2.0 service , why ? because it allow me to save some of the link that i think i m interested but no time to go through yet or some of the site that just need me to read through , i using it as a filtering service before the links go to my del.icio.us bookmark, at the same time it setup a routine for me to clear my links every week, i m having too many 2do, 2read,2 try list on my del.icio.us , lets hope mixing with Looplater can let me be more productivity

I know about Plurk when it just release because it develop by todoist developer , but i never think of give it a try, until recently due to lots of twitter down time, lots of replacement suggestion floating around and Plurkis one of them ( my favourite will be jaiku ), currently Plurk is quite intersting but it is still too early to say it going to replace twitter.

I been not really active wowing for the past few day, busy blogging,coding,reading and testing, this is first day of this week i go in and play properly for 2 hour.

Too bad what i want didn’t drop from the boss, but i manage to grab a rare drop - a new mount - white chocobo, some time it is still good to have some casual gaming.
